One day really can make a difference.
As a volunteer “Giver”, you’re the heartbeat of the agency. Each day is fast, fun and fulfilling. You’ll quickly see that with just one day of your time and the right people and the right purpose, you really can make a difference! Once you’re assigned a day, we’ll send you a brief about the nonprofit you’re helping. It’ll provide some important background materials and some insight on the challenge so when the rubber hits the road, you’re ready to roll.
When your Agency day arrives, that’s when the real fun begins! Along with you, we’ll be welcoming 25 other givers that day along with 5 reps from your nonprofit client. We’ll hold it all at the Miami Ad School in a fantastic and colorful space tailor made for driving ideas.
Every day starts with coffee, snacks, nametags and intros. There’ll be great music amping us all up, and lots of high fives and handshakes. By 8:30 am, we’ll gather together - about 30 of us in all to talk about the challenge we’re tackling for the day. After a presentation and Q&A from our nonprofit, our facilitators will then engage the entire group to narrow the challenge down into a single actionable thought.
Hunting for the 5 transformative ideas.
After that, it’s go time. We’ll break up into four separate groups and let the idea “barn raising” begin. Each team will be packed with PR, Advertising, and Marketing pros, a client rep and maybe a few social media, strategy or operations experts for a truly holistic perspective. For the next hour, each team will be tasked with generating 25+ ideas to improve the client’s business, for a total of 100+ ideas combined. When the hour is up, we’ll come together once again and present our top ideas. Our goal is to distill those ideas down to 5 transformative ideas…. Things the client can walk away with and get working on immediately to improve their organization!
Once everyone goes home for the day, our Give Agency Team works behind the scenes to create a report and roadmap for each client that outlines the great ideas, why they work, and how to implement them. It’s our way of ensuring great ideas turn into great results.
